NFA Exhibiting at EULAR 2008

Eular Conference The National Fibromyalgia Association will exhibit in its first European show during EULAR 2008, the annual European Congress of Rheumatology. The event, presented by the European League Against Rheumatism, takes place June 11-14, 2008 in Paris, France.

The European League Against Rheumatism (EULAR) represents the patient, health professional and scientific societies of rheumatology of all the European nations and works to stimulate, promote and support the research, prevention, treatment and rehabilitation of rheumatic diseases. While fibromyalgia is not a rheumatic disease, the disorder currently falls under this diagnostic “umbrella.”

The EULAR Congress 2008 will offer workshops and informational sessions on clinical innovations and basic science. The event also features several meetings and thousands of research poster presentations.

The National Fibromyalgia Association is one of more than 70 exhibitors that will have a booth at this year’s show. Representatives from the NFA will distribute information on fibromyalgia, including clinical abstracts and educational handouts, and participate in a number of programs and scheduled meetings. Last year, more than 12,400 individuals from around the world participated in the European Congress of Rheumatology.

The NFA will issue a post-event release following the show.
