New Additions to the NFA Website
Several features have been recently added to the National Fibromyalgia Association’s website. Here are some of the highlights.
Spanish
We now have several articles available in Spanish. These stories are located in our A-Z section under Espaņol. Click here to view.
Exercise equipment
Our online store has expanded to include several exercise-related products. Among the items are exercise balls, which can be used for core stability, rehabilitation exercises, cardiovascular workouts and to strengthen and tone all major muscles in the body. The exercise balls come in four sizes. A chart, based on the user’s height, will point you to the one that is best for you.
You can also find the Fit Tube in our store. This exercise tool is ideal for rehabilitation, strengthening and toning. Choose from four options, based on the desired level of intensity. A light-weight, easy-to-roll-up yoga mat is also available. Click here for more information. And lastly, three exercise DVDs, designed by FM healthcare professionals specifically for people affected by fibromyalgia, are available. Click here for information on the DVDs.
eCards
Take a moment to touch a life by sending one of our eCards. With the click of a button, you can send one of our e-cards, at no charge, to someone you care about. Be sure to check back regularly for new designs. This new feature is housed in our “Community” section. Click here to select and send an eCard.
Donations
We have created a list of non-traditional donation options--some of which won’t cost you any additional charge. For example, when you shop online at the more than 680 stores on igive.com, up to 26 percent of each purchase will be given to your designated charity. We’ve also added a way for visitors to make a donation in memory of or in honor of someone special in their life. Click here for details.
Please check back for more additions. Updated regularly are our Member Spotlight, In the News, NFA Happenings and Featured Article sections--all of which are located on our homepage.
