Free Educational Program for Support Groups
Expanded to Groups of 30 or More
Dear Support Group Leaders,
Due to the number of requests received, the National Fibromyalgia Association is pleased to share that “Fibro Focus"—a free educational opportunity for support groups—is now available to groups of 30 or more. If you choose to take advantage of this opportunity, a local medical expert will come to your support group meeting and share information on living with and managing fibromyalgia. Catering and logistical support will also be provided for the “Fibro Focus” support group presentation.
“Fibro Focus” will offer:
- An overview of fibromyalgia: causes, symptoms, diagnosis, treatment
- Tips to help proactively manage the condition
- Information on an FDA-approved prescription treatment option for the management of fibromyalgia
- A Q&A session
Speakers are available through December 2009; groups must regularly have 30 or more people in attendance. For groups with fewer than 30 people, consider co-hosting the program with another nearby support group.
If you are interested in having a medical expert come to one of your meetings to share information on fibromyalgia, please complete the form below.
